Crowned Heads, a renowned name hailing from Asheville, is set to broaden the horizons of its celebrated Míl Dias series with an exciting addition: the Míl Dias Maduro. This innovative line, which translates to “1,000 days,” pays homage to the extensive period reportedly spent perfecting its blend. Initially launched in 2020, the Míl Dias range quickly captured the attention of cigar enthusiasts. The latest Maduro variant is all set to make its grand debut at the upcoming TPE trade show in Las Vegas, scheduled for the end of this month, with plans to hit retailer shelves by late February.
This isn’t merely a cosmetic change to the existing Míl Dias lineup. The Míl Dias Maduro is a comprehensive reimagining of the blend, offering a unique flavor profile. While the original Míl Dias features an Ecuador Habano wrapper paired with a Nicaraguan binder and an intriguing mix of fillers from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Peru, the Maduro version takes a different path. It boasts a rich, dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper that envelops an Ecuador Habano binder, complemented by an exclusively Nicaraguan filler blend from the renowned regions of Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe.

The Maduro line will grace the market in three distinct sizes: the Edmundo (measuring 5 3/8 inches by 52 ring gauge), the Sublime (6 by 54), and the Topes (4 7/8 by 56). Packaged in boxes of 20, these cigars will be available at retail prices ranging from $10.95 to $12.50 each, offering a range of options for various preferences and budgets.
These cigars are meticulously crafted at the TacaNicsa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under the expert guidance of Eradio Pichardo. This factory is not just any production facility; it’s the birthplace of other prestigious Crowned Heads offerings, including the original Míl Dias line and the well-regarded Juárez series. This Maduro addition to the Míl Dias family is poised to continue Crowned Heads’ legacy of delivering exceptional, high-quality cigars that cater to the refined tastes of cigar aficionados around the globe.
