This acquisition signals Laudisi’s ambitious foray into the premium cigar market, leveraging its comprehensive experience in luxury smoking products and distribution to enrich the cigar enthusiast’s experience.
Laudisi Enterprises, the powerhouse behind Smokingpipes.com, Kapp & Peterson, Laudisi Distribution Group, and Cornell & Diehl, has seamlessly integrated Caldwell Cigar Co. into its distinguished portfolio. The transition began with Laudisi Distribution Group taking over the fulfillment and distribution of Caldwell and Lost & Found cigar orders to retailers, effective from March 8, following the acquisition agreement signed on February 9.
Reflecting on a decade of remarkable achievements and growth, Caldwell Cigar Co.’s co-founder, Robert Caldwell, shared his enthusiasm for the future. “The journey of Caldwell Cigar Co. has been nothing short of extraordinary, and as we step into the next phase of our evolution, we’re thrilled to join forces with Laudisi. Their robust infrastructure and deep understanding of the premium tobacco market equip us with the tools needed for continued innovation and growth,” said Caldwell in a recent press release.
In a move that reinforces the collaborative spirit of this acquisition, co-founders Robert Caldwell and Juan Jaramillo will continue to play pivotal roles at Caldwell Cigar Co., not only as shareholders but also as integral members of the senior management team. Caldwell is set to take on the role of Vice President, focusing his expertise on branding, marketing, and product development to elevate the Caldwell brand further. Meanwhile, Jaramillo steps into the Director of Cigar Operations role. His responsibilities will include overseeing logistics and maintaining strong relationships with factory partners, ensuring the seamless production of Caldwell’s esteemed cigar lines.
This acquisition also encompasses Lost & Found, a creative venture between Caldwell, Tony Bellato (owner of La Barba Cigar Ltd.), and designer Jaclyn Sears, further diversifying Laudisi’s portfolio with unique, sought-after cigar offerings.
