The Cigar Guys Expands With New Cigar Scanner, News Podcast, Website and Awards
The Cigar Guys Podcast & Media Company is expanding its cigar media platform with several new projects for 2026, including an AI-powered cigar scanner, a new cigar news podcast, a redesigned website, a partnership with CigarCave.com, and the launch of The Cigar Guys Awards.
These new projects are designed to give cigar smokers more ways to discover cigars, follow cigar industry news, track what they smoke, and participate in the broader premium cigar community.
TheCigarScanner.com Enters Beta Testing
One of the newest projects is TheCigarScanner.com, an AI-driven cigar scanning platform currently in beta testing.
Users can scan cigars to learn more about their blends, expected flavor profiles, and tasting notes. Each scanned cigar can also be saved to a personal digital “Humidor,” allowing users to track what they have smoked and rate cigars from one to five stars.
As more cigars are added, the platform is also designed to help users better understand their personal flavor preferences based on their smoking history.
The Cigar Guys is actively testing and improving the software. The team is also evaluating the platform’s final branding due to the existence of another cigar identification service using a similar name.
Cigar News Network Launches on Spotify
The Cigar Guys has also launched Cigar News Network, a short-form cigar news podcast focused on the latest developments across the premium cigar industry.
Episodes are typically around five minutes and feature two hosts presenting cigar news in a traditional news-reporting format.
The goal is to release approximately two episodes each week covering subjects such as new cigar releases, industry announcements, collaborations, events, business developments, and other important cigar news.
Cigar News Network is designed to complement the longer-form Cigar Guys Podcast by giving listeners a faster way to stay informed.
TheCigarGuys.com Gets a Complete Redesign
TheCigarGuys.com has also received a major rebuild led by Cigar Guys co-host Jared Burrows.
The new website was developed from scratch to provide greater customization, improved visual presentation, and more control over how content is organized.
Visitors can now find the latest cigar articles, podcast episodes, video content, social media platforms, sponsors, cigar deals, and other updates in one central location.
The redesigned website will serve as the main hub for new content produced by The Cigar Guys Media Company.
The Cigar Guys Partners With CigarCave.com
The Cigar Guys is also working with CigarCave.com as an official partner.
Listeners can hear about current promotions and cigar deals through recent episodes of The Cigar Guys Podcast.
The partnership is part of the company’s continued effort to work with retailers and cigar industry brands while expanding its media platform.
The Cigar Guys Awards Launch for 2026
The newest initiative is The Cigar Guys Awards, a yearly awards program recognizing standout cigars, cigar brands, retailers, creators, educators, and industry personalities.
Nominations for the 2026 awards are open through November 30, 2026.
The four highest-performing nominees in each category will advance to the final voting phase. Winners will be determined through a combination of four judges and a consumer vote, with public voting carrying weight in close decisions.
To encourage broader industry representation, individual cigar brands will be limited to qualifying in a maximum of three award categories.
Because 2026 is the first year of The Cigar Guys Awards, feedback from cigar consumers and industry members will also help determine which categories remain, change, or are added in 2027.
Building a Larger Cigar Media Platform
The Cigar Guys Podcast remains at the center of the company, but the broader goal is to continue building a complete cigar media ecosystem.
